Sustainability in business
Working with generational vineyard owners, building family business, continuing to provide quality fruit to the industry to support domestic winemakers and Australia’s export trade – that’s what sustainability means to MVWI.
Bringing solutions-based information, advancements in technology and support to winegrape growers so they can continue to thrive and provide ongoing produce to keep the wine industry in Australia abundant and recognised on a world stage.
Progressive Thinking
We know that climates change – whether that’s weather, business needs or industry demand. Valuing progressive thinking means not only looking to the future but planning for it, while still honouring the now.
Valuing progressive thinking means we are constantly looking for ways to improve, to grow, and to develop better practises for winegrape growers in our region. Progressive thinking backs the value we place on sustainable business practises, and pairing the two enables MVWI to provide for the growers, creating a ripple effect to the wine industry domestically and globally.
Fostering community is an important part of what MVWI does. Bringing together grapegrowers, industry affiliates, government bodies and key stakeholders to ensure that the voice of the region is represented.
Through creating a network for grapegrowers and the industry, we create greater opportunity for growth and sustainability in resources, business and the future of Murray Darling and Swan Hill regions.
Community to us isn’t just a physical location, it’s connecting our growers and the industry, to create opportunities and growth.
There’s more to a vineyard than vines.
We discovered long ago that growing wine grapes connects us with our enduring agricultural heritage. We farm according to our values to nourish resilient and healthy ecosystems. From preserving open space to building soil health, to the way we manage water usage, our ability to manage our natural resources enhances the quality of our sustainable winegrowing, and therefore, the quality of our produce.
We employ traditional practices, whilst continuing to navigate modern technology so we can diminish our impact on the environment. Accountable land management supports the protection and durability of our region and industry for future generations.
